Man Critically Injured in Downtown Stabbing Now in Stable Condition: Police

A man, previously in critical condition after being stabbed on Tuesday afternoon, has been reported to be in stable condition, as confirmed by police.
The incident unfolded in downtown Brampton near the Main Street South, Queen Street, and Wellington Street intersection.

After sustaining stab wounds, the victim sought refuge in a nearby retail establishment, prompting an emergency call to EMS.

Peel Regional Police swiftly responded to the scene, arriving just before 1:30 p.m., where they discovered an adult male victim with injuries consistent with a stabbing.

Paramedics quickly transported the victim to a Toronto trauma center for immediate medical attention.

At present, authorities have not disclosed any information regarding potential suspects or the recovery of the weapon involved.

Residents are advised to steer clear of the area due to a significant police presence and an ongoing investigation.
